Check it yourself: Google search for “construction seo”. Results change over time and with where you search from; this is the first page we saw on Oct. 24, 2026.
Of the seven results, two are how-to guides or blog posts, one is a Reddit thread and four are agency pages. Page one is mostly advice. What it doesn't have is a construction site's real numbers, so that's what this page shows.

What to build
Construction searches worth a page
- Cost guides for every job you price: excavation, grading, demolition, culverts, driveways.
- Problem pages. Standing water, washed-out driveways, private road repair. People search the problem.
- Permit and rules pages for your state and county.
- Service and town pages, and Spanish where it helps your customers.
The market
Construction businesses competing for those searches
Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood and Transylvania counties have 1,820 construction businesses with employees between them (Census County Business Patterns 2023). The ones with cost guides and town pages show up for searches a homepage alone doesn't answer.
Questions
Common questions
Which pages should a construction company build first?
Cost guides for the jobs you price most, then a page per service in each town you work. On both grading sites we built, price pages are among the most-clicked.
Do excavation and grading companies need SEO?
If customers search for your work, yes. Ridgeline Grading's site has been seen in Google 22,991 times.
What does it cost?
A custom quote with a monthly option. A regular construction company website is $1,000 to $1,500: see construction company website design.
