Google Business Profile optimization
Google Business Profile optimization means filling in every part of your profile, from categories and services to hours, photos, posts and the website link, so Google can match you to the searches and Maps results you should show up in. We follow Google's rules on names and reviews: no stuffed names, no fake reviews.

- Map pack
- Real names, real reviews
The checklist
What we fill out
Categories and services
The right primary category, the secondary ones that fit, and every service you offer, in your customers' words.
Service area and hours
The towns you serve, your hours and your holiday hours, so Google never shows you as closed when you're working.
Photos
Real photos of your work and your place. The main photo is your work, not your logo.
Website link and posts
A website link that sends people to the right page without creating a duplicate homepage in Google, and posts that show you're active.
An example
Lark Hill Cottage's profile
In October 2026 we filled out Lark Hill Cottage's Google Business Profile: the lodging details section by section, the property photos with the house as the main photo (not the logo), the website and phone, and a first post. The site and the profile now point to each other, with the same name, address and phone on both.
Google's rules
What we won't do on your profile
- Add keywords to your business name. Your name is your name.
- Post fake reviews or ask anyone to.
- Reply to your reviews for you unless you ask us to.
Questions
Common questions
What does it cost?
It depends on how much your profile needs. Call or text (828) 490-1245 for a quote.
Do I need a website too?
It helps. The profile gets you onto Google Maps; the website is where people go to decide. We build both.
Will you reply to my reviews?
Only if you ask us to. Your reviews are your voice.
